Cincinnati's Pride festival takes place at Sawyer Point and features over 150 vendors, plus live performances.

Over 110,000 people are expected to attend Cincinnati's 45th annual Pride Parade and festival this Saturday, June 23. The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. followed by a festival at Sawyer Point at noon.

Festival offerings and activities include over 150 vendors, a family fun zone, a senior tent, a "sober zone," a lactation tent for new mothers, and a wine grove. A number of drag shows and other performances will happen throughout the day.

"We accept anyone that wants to come," says Andrew Morano, festival and parade chair of Cincinnati Pride. "We want everyone to have a fun experience and just to enjoy what we're putting on... We just want everyone to come out have fun and feel comfortable."

The 2017 Cincinnati Pride Parade walked through Fountain Square, as it will again this year.

Morano says that Cincinnati has made a lot of progress in the past decades toward LGBTQ equality.

"I feel like every city has room to grow, but I feel like Cincinnati, for being the area that we're in, I feel like we've evolved and I think it's a great place and we always have great supporters," he says.
